Cloud migration for Century 21 Coast Property
Project Overview
The on-premise servers that Century 21 had been using for over 6 years were becoming more obsolete as the databases and software they used to run on them had already been moved to the cloud. The servers were loud and in the main work area of the office. The server was still being used as an Active Directory(Authentication) server, file server, and print server.

Execution
Nexlo moved all the files into a Microsoft SharePoint document library and applied appropriate permissions. We then disconnected the office computers from the server and used their Office 365 email address to authenticate to the new SharePoint document library and tenancy. Once all files and services were confirmed to have been migrated, we shut down the servers.
Project results
The office is now a lot more quiet and cooler, the air conditioner no longer needs to work as hard. Century 21 saved over $250 in monthly SLA costs as the servers are no longer managed by Nexlo. Working remotely is easier as employees have instant access to all their files.
Nexlo Tip
SharePoint has a built-in migration feature that helps to move large datasets from your business to the cloud.
